Wisconsin faced 2 very important election yesterday – Tuesday, April 7th, 2009: Supreme Court Judge and State Education Superintendent.  Both of these elections we important because of the stark differences between the candidates, 2 Conservative and 2 Liberal Candidate.

Apparently the grass roots efforts in Wisconsin are not yet awakened as they have just sent 2 Liberals back into power…again.  No, it wasn’t that they voted for the Liberals, it was that they didn’t vote at all.  Expectations of Spring elections are typically low, but with so much at stake in Wisconsin ~ Conservatives should have been out in force.

News Article:

More than 18 percent of eligible voters cast ballots in Wisconsin’s spring election.  That is below the 20 percent forecast by the state’s Government Accountability Board.  There were just two statewide races in Tuesday’s election, although local contests helped spike interest in some areas.

Supreme Court Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson defeated Jefferson County Circuit Judge Randy Koschnick 60 percent to 40 percent.

Tony Evers won the state’s superintendent race with 57 percent of the vote, while Rose Fernandez captured just 43 percent.

This year’s 18.4 percent turnout was comparable to last year’s 19 percent turnout for the spring election.

Conservatives are truly the sleeping giant, but apparently we are still sleeping.  If you value America ~ as it once was ~ free of tyranny and a place for individuals to find success based on their efforts, not the government’s redistribution of wealth, then we had better WAKE UP!

In 2010, we will have one chance to correct the mis-steps of the past.  This election is the begining of the Conservative Movement’s efforts to take back our cities, counties, Madison, and Washington.
