There has been a lot of talk about the upcoming primary election for Governor and Lt. Governor and even some confusion about what we’re all supposed to do. This post is meant to clarify what Republicans should and should not do concerning the May 8th primary election.
Please note the following information:
Governor Scott Walker has a primary opponent, Arthur Kohl-Riggs – a protest candidate from Madison who proudly spent much of his time protesting at the capitol against Republicans. The Wisconsin Republican Party and Polk County Republican Party both support and endorse Governor Scott Walker and urge you to get to the polls on May 8th and vote for our Governor, Scott Walker.
Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch will not be on the primary ballot because she does not have a primary opponent. Lt. Governor Kleefisch is actively campaigning for the June 5th election.
The best way to help keep Governor Walker and Lt. Governor Kleefisch in office is to vote for Governor Walker on May 8th and to vote for Governor Walker and Lt. Governor Kleefisch on June 5th, 2012.
The Polk County Republican Party urges its members and all conservative republicans in Wisconsin to stay the course and not give up.
