As always, our Executive Committee meetings are open to all current members of the Polk County Republican Party, and there are plenty of volunteer opportunities!

RPW State Convention

The efforts of the volunteers and our County Party membership over the last year earned us the recognition of the Republican Party of Wisconsin in the form of a Wisconsin Award again in 2024.  As County Party Chairman, I was honored to accept the award from Chairman Schimming on behalf of you all at this year’s State convention.

The Wisconsin award is given to county parties who achieve a variety of milestones for grass roots volunteer efforts over the course of the previous year.

There were roughly 700 people in attendance at the convention, where we listened to reports from various committees, heard from some of our more notable elected representatives including Senator Ron Johnson.  We also elected a National Committeeman and Committeewoman to represent Wisconsin on the Republican National Committee (RNC).  Membership also endorsed US Senate Candidate Eric Hovde, but was unsuccessful at urging RPW leadership to allow US Senate Candidate Rejani Raveendran to speak to the audience, or place campaign literature or signage on the convention floor.

The overall message from leadership that was heavily reinforced at the convention was that “We must unite and election Donald Trump in November”.

Overall, it was a fun weekend assembling with other Republicans from all across the State.  Thanks to those of you who served as delegates representing Polk County at the convention, and I hope you can join us at our upcoming Executive Committee meeting.

Regards,
